    07 vs 05-06 cobalt ss/sc's

i have notice some differences here and there from the 05-06 to the 07's

the 07's do not let me have access to the the transmission torque management.

is there something that im missing here? was this something that couldn't be cracked, or added in due to a pcm change from gm?

I couldn't find one 05-07 cobalt SS SC's in the repository where you could access transmission tq management. Would you mind posting the two files your referring to?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

?? I can access mine, not that it affects anything since it's a manual. The only thing not accessible is the Transmission Diagnostics tab..

Ohh you know what, it is the HPT versions. .16 shows Transmission settings but .18 has them removed. Personally I don't see why you are trying to get to it, since the settings are for autos and the LSJ doesn't come with an auto. Except if you do the swap, but then HPT settings won't affect the new tranny either.

Only way you can change it, would be to use .16 lol but I don't see what you will gain. Good luck.

Na I see what he's saying now. If I open the 06' file he posted I can see the tranny stuff, but the 07' file doesn't. I'll see what I can find out for you.

on the 07's the tranny tables don't exist, because they were never used gm finally just cut them out of the OS.

so, the question being then. is the torque mangament on the 07's gone from the transmission side then? or is it hidden?

i do know that gm still uses some torque managment on the manual cars, i just can't see why it would be taken out completely

Gone, GM decided not to even put them in the code for 07's.

Realise manuals are not affected by any transmission settings since it is all controlled by driver input. So in reality anyone who changed the settings just waisted time. Thanks Bill for the info!
