The logs I have with the multiplier tables at 5 do compute to having a 20* offset in the scan tool , I got a finalized tune I’m gonna flash in today and run it .

On my 03 i had to make some math in vcm scanner to have pilot timing showing the right value...
I don?t have that issue on my mm3, it shows right on the touch screen and in the logs
In VCM editor you can create custom PIDs. You can make a math one, basically the ID number of your pilot timing-20 and you log the custom math PID you made.
Get the pilot all figured out?
Also, working on complete timing calculators for the 2004.5-2007 5.9 and 2010+ 6.7 engines. They will have pilot, main and post events in them for those who would be interested in them. The 6.7 will come first.
I thought timing calculators were junk and useless? I was told to forget about them.
They are information tools only. They don?t dictate where to set your timing, you as the user dictates the desired outcome of what it gives you.
I personally use pilot timing calculations to set the pilot event to a specific timing value and that?s it. Every adjustment I make to the main event, I go back and redo the pilot timing to keep it at my desired timing value.
I can build into them to show information like what would happen to the main event duration if you increase rail pressure and things of that nature. Information only. The user controls all outcomes of it and it in no way tells the user where to set anything for optimal results or anything of that nature. One could be built to give theoretical optimal timing based on temperatures and all that but that requires extensive knowledge of thermodynamics and formulas beyond what is worth getting into.
The primary thing people fail to understand with them is they are information only tools and in no way tell you where to set things for optimal results and that the user completely controls all outputs from it based on what the user enters in.

Yes sir ,all seems to be working correctly. Thanks for all the help , what would it take to get you to do the trans tuning for me ?
I?m charging out $150USD to setup the 48RE?s.
Been logging some more and the 20* offset is definitely confirmed and my logger is logging pilot from TDC . Just putting it out there for anyone else wondering.
Did HP Tuners ever fix this issue?
What issue? No issue here with pilot timing I?m aware of.
