And then, when everything is like right at melts temps, it dumps fuel, and the piston says NOPE, and then its all over. I have always wondered what GM was thinking.

I can't say this about a e38, but I did just about pull my hair out on a P59 that did that. I never could narrow down why, but I swapped out the ecm, and the problem went away, so it was the ecm.
No, I do not like it open at idle. I don't see any reason for it. Dear god, now he is on here posting up books on this site too......
I have not touched a ford in years. I can say that on a turbo motor, you do have to be very careful with timing. Timing causing detonation will destroy that engine quick, really quick towing. On the...
The less timing you run, the later in the stroke the combustion happens, so in turn, it is going to shove that flame front further into the exhaust, which also, makes the engine less efficient, and...
No one? Now I am starting to question if those vans had cruise control. I have not seen a specific wiring diagram for a 2004 van either, just the general stuff guys use to do swaps. If someone has...
I recently did a swap from a p01 to p59. The p59 is from a 2004 van with drive by cable. I can not find what to do with my red 13 wire that is the cruise control engage. I have read about what guys...
I use the 04 P59 files. The base OS is 12587603. I have a copy of basically any configuration needed for any swap. This 04 P59 was found in the Van's, so it has the IAC drivers, and also in the...
Dear god now he has found another forum for long lengthy commentary on.
Why can't you go back to 1 bar? Your going to continue to fight with yourself over this. If you lost the original file, I suggest getting another and re-licensing it. With a 2 bar os, your VE scale...
I also 100% recommend getting some training from ERM. Ed is the BEST! I had already bought the Bannish stuff, and the Tuning Schools stuff, and learned more from Ed in his short course than the other...
Yes they should. What a pain in the a44 to keep looking all over for it. Maybe its just us rp tuners who can't find it IDK. LOL
HP Tuners is a semi steep learning curve, and a abundance of patience can certainly be needed at times. I think most of us have been there at one point or another, and honestly, its almost ALWAYs my...
This 4.0 reminds me sooo much of when they did the MASSIVE swap to 3.0 from 2.24 and EVERYONE threw a fit. If this is any indication of before, its get on board or else. I think I will probably buy...
Perhaps you guys could put a warning in after a thread reaches 12 months, that say "This thread is OLD, are you sure you want to reply?" LOL
PM sent to you about the best tuning info out there.
I run a NGK as well. It is one of the best widebands out there. Is your a Ballenger or a real NGK? I just had my computer crash, and I lost everything. I will be working on setting mine back up in...
Thank you both so much for the help! I will do some scanning/adjusting and work as soon as I get a decent day of weather, and hopefully get this worked out!
So I have been battling with a trans issue now since my trans has been corrected. I had a line pressure issue, and got that worked out. When I go to tune my MAF, I loose tcc lockup. If I keep the...
You still have a lot of work here. The main VE table is really rough. I didn't even look at the scan, but do you have a wide band? The timing is really, really low. I would do some reading/video...
If it goes into error, what do you have loaded to log? How many items? It can log several, but I have had it error like that, if I try to log too much. I honestly, don't use that feature much any...
It's been awhile since you have been gone. There are no "PIDS" now. Its basically the same, but everything is called something different. Once you get your feet wet, it will actually be much easier...
A tune has nothing to do with what it leaves at. That is all mechanical. You have a converter issue.
I am also interested in this. I would like to keep this ecm in mine at least for awhile with a 80e, but I couldn't find a 80e segment that would work.
Yeah this looks very cool. I have not seen anyone do this so far, but am very interested myself!
