2006 gto injector and map advice needed

Just took in a 06 ls2 gto with a cam and procharger that another shop could not get right. Car still has stock injectors and map sensor. Any recommendations on a drop in set of injectors 50+lb and also a 2-3 bar map that is plug and play? Im expecting around 500whp on my mustang dyno. Wanting something i can drop in without adapters.

Damn, those are an oddball injector size. The l94 or l9h injectors have the right connector and oring dimensions, but are too short. Might have to use a spacer hat to get anything to fit with the factory fuel rails.

E40 can't use anything with a Linear over 256 or a negative Offset, so the only off the shelf option I know of is 12615136/19418810, the Cobalt baro, with settings of 200/8.00. DSX used to have a 2.5bar in that body style but the page is now a 404 error, DPECorvettes has a 2.5bar but it's the LS1 style body (long/skinny).

If you just have to have a 2.5bar in the early Gen4 body style you can gut a stock sensor and stick in a https://www.nxp.com/part/MPXHZ6250A6U (available in singles from Digikey/Mouser, if you can get their stupid anti-adblock websites to serve you a page these days, they suck) and glue the cover back on.

The cheap L96 injectors are ~0.200 shorter than car LS2s so would need a top adapter unless the rails can be mounted that little bit lower. Same connector though. It would be around 3 times the price (edit: more like 5-6 times?) for any other injector with a similar flow rate and the car LS2 length.

Oh! The car LS2 does use the older long/skinny sensor type, here: https://www.dpecorvettes.com/2.5-bar-map-sensor.html

If I remember right the last time I bought the NXP sensor elements they were like $20 each or something.

I appreciate the advice. Ended up with a set of fic 525h injectors and the map you listed. I applied the 2 bar os. Do i treat this as usual and copy the 105kpa from the non boost table to the boost table, paste into the 105 column and the 25x column, multiply by 1.3 and interpolate? I fingered the low boost ve table to get a decent startup for the cam.

Everything works the same as a Gen3, just little things different like IFR/MAP limits and the VE axes are flip-flopped, so needs dedicated scanner graphs.

Thanks, do you know the flow rate of the stock pump? This car was supposed to have injectors, map, pump changed but obviously that did not happen. Worst case i can lower the rev limit.

Look safe for a ls2 with a p1 procharger (5-7psi?) with a unknown cam? Injectors were scaled 10% with a stoich of 14.12. Most likely will get the drop in dw-300 pump (340lph). Tuned on 93.

    Cats or no cats?

It might not cause any issues but I wouldn't have PE and BE set to the same number, let it choose one or the other (it'll use the richer one). Centrifugal would probably work fine with the regular PE and not using BE at all.

I havent been under the car but it does have long tubes. I still need to go through the dtc list. The main thing to start out is going to be getting the ve dialed. Some of the diag and other things will be re enabled toward the end of the dyno session before street time.

Cat test & Post O2 test are both still on, even if it has cats those need to be off for tuning.

Why not use the cobalt sensor? The injectors you picked exclude you from 2-2.5 bar of boost anyway.

I would have gone with at least a 850cc.

I wasnt aware the cobalt sensor would fit the intake. I probably could have test fit a 99-06 truck map. Either way its ordered. The injectors should be no more than 70-75% duty on this setup. Just needed something to get it tuned as i dont think the car will see future mods at least with this owner. The 340 pump is on the way as well.

Yes the cobalt sensor fits any clip in application. LS1 car - LS2 car. Sometimes you have to cut one side of the clips off.. not always.

That is good to know. I can probably pull them at the junkyard for free. I also wasnt thinking about the fuel system not being boost referenced when i ordered the injectors. As long as i can put down the 530 number im hoping for and shift at 6000-6200 safely then all shall be well.

Managed to squeeze 471hp out of the car. I dont think the log matches the tune or dyno run because someone forgot to click record on the 471 run... Any non-insulting input?
