The 12613412's from that one seller I link to all the time are absolutely the real thing, not fake. No doubt there are fakes on there too for less money... there may even be real ones for less money from other sellers. I only trust that one listing because I've bought and used them myself.

It's a weird part number. For a while there they were going for $18/ea online from legit stores, and $22/ea over the counter at the dealership.

The sets that got shipped to me were not junkyard rebuilds. All the other people who bought from that listing didn't get used injectors either, I think someone would have mentioned it by now.

How can you tell? Bath in an ultrasonic tank will do that. Add a new screen and o-rings then done. It's not like injectors take abuse.

Even at $22 per part ($34 rockauto $80 gmparts) the economics don't add up. 957 sets sold. Either the seller is currently $115,844.85 in the hole or they're rebuilds.

$300 for a set on rockauto. No concerns about provenance.

That is a pretty crazy price ($56 for 8) for those 12613412, but even then, they're only $200-280 on regular retail sites. Even if I don't need all ~50lb/hr it's worth saving money at either price and just running with them. More room for even more horsepowers, haha.

I see they're the short EV6 style. Do you all know what height/length adapters I would need to account for going from the tall EV1 to short EV6? The fuel rail is injector length specifics. I'm trying to search but haven't found particular ones yet. I have found a few pigtail adapters.

You think Rockauto doesn't have a markup? Were they also losing money when they were selling them for $18? Was GM losing money when selling them for $22?

Somebody invite kingtal0n back then the Three Amigos can have this place. Performative ignorance is on the rise, I hear.

Thanks for the injector and adapter info link. I'll go read through it and see what sense I can make of it. Don't be surprised if I come back with a question or two. I'm a little slow to comprehend until I start messing around with the particular subject.

The 412's i've seen on ebay aren't rebuilt. We sell them too although our source isn't as cheap.. Still they are cheap new injectors. I think this is just overflow old stock.

In the same way in the early 2010's I was buying literally cases of T42's for $25 a piece..

Something I thought about. I see "flow matched set" referenced by some of the listings. In your experiences, how much does that really matter? I imagine it may have some effect on balanced operation, but just minimal. I wouldn't imagine factories/OEMs are matching sets on the assembly line.

Ah a normal person response. I was wondering if blindsquirrel was starting to smell burnt toast.
