    2 Step for Consistant Launches

Take a look at this thread in the V8 section.

Someone came up with the idea of using the P/N rev limiter as a Shudder box to get consistant launches. Turns out it won't work on the V8 but it is awsome on the V6. Here is my post from that thread:

I finally made it to the track and had a chance to test this idea.

    WORKS GREAT.

Three runs, here are my 60 foot times.

    2.149
    2.184
    2.181

    Street tires and a V6.

They were the easiest launches I have ever had. No thinking, just let it bounce off the limiter and let the clutch off and floor it. A monkey could have done it (kind of like an automatic ;D )

It sure works for the V6. Maybe someone can figure out how to make it work on the V8.

I am allready happy with the 2.0*'s I cut on lame arsh kumho 712's
no lca's no touque arm, no relocations brackets.. full weight..

all i have out back is my psudo-coilovers, bilstine HD's, the big le1 swaybar and an adjsutable pan hard rod..

my launches are UGLY/painfull to watch.. but cut good times for a v6.. I want high 1's next spring though when I get around to updating my suspension..

autos rule. 2.00 bfg street tires and a peg leg.

a 2step would be nice for some.

This would be for cars with manual transmissions.

You lazy guys with autos don't need it.

Yea, we just get better results naturally.

    ....especially if we're FWD ;D
