    model year 'locked'

    how does the suite identify the year of the car? is it via the pcm? i have a 2002 ls1 going in my camaro, and a buddy of mine with a 1998 ls1 ws6 is planning on buying your software...could i swap a 1998 pcm into my camaro & use my buddy's 1998 'locked' software? thanks..!

    It is via the PCM.

    Very difficult to swap a 98 PCM into a 99+ car. Completely different pinouts.
