If you go back to an older version of HP, it says to uninstall newer version first. If you do this, will you loose all your saved tunes and stuff you set up for the scanner?
I have the aem 30-0300 and a lot of people were talking about issues with 3.2, and some were talking about doing this. That is the reason I ask here.
Plus I'm a 00 TA so non Canbus, just thought I'd try different things to see if by some slim chance it might start working.
I'm pretty sure that, if you don't see the "OBD2" menu item on the gauge UI, it does not have the OBDII firmware.
If you see "CAN", it is probably a 30-0300.
Not 100% sure. But, pretty good bet.
Working fine on 3.2 here is all I can really say
If anyone is local and wants to try plug it into their car just to see if it'll work just PM me
I think the ones where it isn't working are from AEM sending out units with the wrong software

Need some help, I must be overlooking something in the instructions. I just recd my 30-0333 for my 2012 Camaro. I am using HP Tuners 3.2. What do I choose when setting up the channel and hit transform?
You don't.
Connect everything up, turn on the car/WB. Connect to the vehicle in VCM Scanner. Re-poll for available parameters (I think it's under edit, I don't have HPT in front of me right now)
After it re-polls, right click in your channels list, add, search for "WB EQ Ratio x". x will be 1 if you're using the factory settings
Double click on it.
And you're done.
You can right click on it in the channels list to change the units to AFR, etc. if you want. By default it shows up as lambda.

To take this a slight step deeper. I have a 2012 Cruze 1.4 in a stand alone engine swap. I never thought I'd need the CAN buss so I had it stripped out of my OBD connector wiring. It's fairly easy to tell where the wires go at the OBD connector end, but it's going to take some more digging the find where they go into the ECM. Anyone know that off the top of their head? :-)
My AEM 30-0333 is on order, but I suspect it's back ordered till the next boat arrives.
Didn't read the whole thread but is there anything I need to do special to use this on my E40 vette?

Wasn't there something about a resistor or something?

There was.. but not needed. Just plug it in, turn everything on, re-poll for supported parameters, add WB EQ ratio to channels list and you're logging
Delete the old PLX one out of the channels list too obviously
