Thread: 2008 Silverado won't spin a tire

  1. #21
Trasmission > Torque Mngmnt > Stall Torque Mgt
    Enable: 8100
    Disable: 8000
    As madvette08 mentioned.

    Torque Reduction Pattern X, Y and Z.
Warning: Values are too low and that can damage the tranny. Just halve the stock values.

Engine > Torque Management > General > Traction Control System
I usually avoid touching these because some trucks start doing weird things (fuel cuts). That could be the problem.

Engine > Airflow > Dynamic Airflow
    Dynamic Airflow
    High RPM Disable: 300
    High RPM Re-enable: 200
You have to tune the MAF after this.

Engine > Fuel Control > Power Enrich
I suggest you to read this from the Readmes in the Gen3 section:

    Good luck.

Thank you "loppad." . . . and with good clear instructions.
Previously I tried the PE Enable TPS in the Power Enrich section, but it did little good.
    15 Silverado 2500HD LML Z71, LTZ, 4x4, 6.6 ltr., Air Bags, FASS 90, 16/21 MPG.
    06 Quicksilver 6-speed GTO LS2-402, OCT 08 Dyno: 554rwhp/492rwtq, 18/26 MPG.
    16 Silver 6-speed Camaro 2SS LT1, 16/25 MPG.

You're welcome. By the way, don't touch Avalanches' TCS, they don't like it.
I had one that I disabled TCS and once you run it near the speed limiter (also removed) truck had intermittent fuel cuts. I put TCS back to stock and that solved the problem.

My 5.3 is a dog even after a camshaft.
In the process of saving still.. I'm sure i'll be back looking for tuning tips when we get it on the truck

Do those high RPM disable and re-enable settings cause the truck to run maf only? Would it not be better to dial in the VE coefficients?

Yes, I will need to relook some of the settings. On the way to work today the truck coughed and sputtered in 83-degree weather.
