hptuners will automatically change the shift points for you to get you within range...from there its more of an art then anything.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
A wise man once said "google it"
thanks!
it sure does go through the gears quickly

But I believe my 3 -> 4 shift point was setup at 1000rpm ?
this was just talked about on my other thread
I'm going back to the 3.42s
so heres my math:
tire size / gear = change %
26.1" / 4.10 = 6.36585
26.1" / 3.42 = 7.63157 (7.4 was stock setting)
I know it doesnt have to be accurate.... I'm gonna use the 7.631 one
Why go back to the 3.42's? To harsh a gearing? Bad milage? All of the above?

I didnt install the pinion nut to 150 ft/lbs so after a year of driving on my 4.10s they fell apart
It was great! Hey, at least I know how to put gears/posi in and rebuild my engine!
I bet I thought that if I torqued it down that hard it would mess up my pre-set pinion preload and backlash
Everything else I have torqued (connecting rod bolts) have held up great thus far
