I have not one, but two stupid questions...

I think I know the answers, but I'd like to make sure.

1- Can the EIO ports be used to monitor a line voltage? What I mean is that normally, I would connect the +5 and GND pins to a sensor (let's say I wanted to monitor a position sensor), and read the signal with one of the IO pins. But if the sensor I want to read already has + and GND hooked up, can I just tap in an input port and read the signal voltage? Super accuracy is not important in this case (I'm trying to see if I can read a fuel gauge)

2- Is the max input +5 or +12? I imagine it's +5, but +12 would probably make my life easier.

    Thanks.

have you looked at your PID's there might just be a fuel gauge sender output voltage in there already....

    +5v DC max

I think I saw one - I don't recall the harness having a wire for it. I'll look into that.

    Thanks.
