trying to install hptuners on tablet. vcm editor opens fine but vcm scanner wont open

Editor seems to open fine but as scanner opens I get an error of. Error creating window handle.. running windows 8.1 with bing and I think it is a.net framework 4.5. any ideas?
I tried making sure all features for a.net framework are all turned on. Maybe a reinstall of hptuners???

Any ideas would be great

I'm running it on my Dell XPS 12 Convertible without issues. It is Windows 8.1 Pro.

After installing your .NET components, did you enable it's features?

im having this issue on a windows 8.1 HP stream 7 tablet I just got.. editor.. fine.. scanner.. nope.. same error.. anyone come up with a fix for this?

hey guys.. dev's.. bill, etc....
here's the issue.. if you launch the scanner on win 8.1 devices.. and maybe not all of them... from double clicking the shortcut or exe, you might get this error.
my solution was to try to launch it from the command line, binging up the scanner.. it WORKS... so I made a batch file.. that does this. put a shortcut to it on my desktop.. boom.. launches the scanner every time.
I don't know why HPT's scanner.. and ONLY the scanner is doing this.. but if it helps you debug and find a way to fix it for others, im glad to help.. im also very VERY local to you folks so I can come by one day and let you troubleshoot on my device if you like

after a little googling trying to remember making .bat files I got it up and running also!! Thank you Bonj87 very much!!!!!
