    NB o2 readings bouncing

I did my first scan/log yesterday. I noticed that my NB o2 readings would bounce up and down constantly going from around 80 to 800 or so. Is this normal?
    Thanks,
    Joe

Depends on if they are just "bouncing" or actually "railing". Bouncing is a slower transition and is normal. Railing is where the o2 values stay at one end or the other for either extended periods of time (idle) or when you are cruising, the o2's are switching to one extreme to the other ( say <20 mv to >950 mv for example) in one frame and this repeats on continuous frames for long periods at steady state. In a railing situation your Short Term Fuel Trim values may also be "whipping" back & forth as well.

Thanks for the help. After reading your responses and looking at someone else's chart, it appears my readings are normal.
    Thanks,
