Deleting the Range Selector on the transmission

I have a 72 pickup with a stock engine and harness out of a 2003 sierra, the 4L60e transmission is out of a 2001 F-body and doesn't have the ability to accept the range selector switch that is in the harness. Is there a way I can tune this out?

Can't you change the PRNDL status to none in the tune?
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

The speedometer and the operation of the transmission during the swap isn't associated with the range switch. You must have an issue somewhere else. You need to verify your VSS wires in your tail housing are wired to your PCM in the correct spot. Try using a scan tool when driving and you can verify if the PCM is getting a proper VSS signal in. Once you can verify you are getting a good signal-in, you need to verify you are using the correct wire in your PCM to your speedo gauge. You are looking for Speed OUTPUT for your gauge.
