    Map sharing

Why doesn't HPTuners allow map sharing?

Not being able to flash a vehicle without a license should be protection enough, to make people buy the license.
I have a friend back east who was going to help with my tuning, but he can't save the tune-map he's created, that I sent him of my car.

How do other people share their tunes?

He could copy the tables out. Basically its to prevent mail-order tuning, a tuner could edit and save all the tunes they want, charge for them, and have somebody with the HPT cable flash it. This is to prevent that.

So, if you and your buddy have the same car.
Both have a license and HPTuners interface.
    You can't easily trade tune-ups?

he can view your tunes, you can view his tunes, and you could do a comparison...you just cant alter his tune and he cant alter yours.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

If it was the same car and same os you could open youre file in HPT then open your buddy's tune in the compare and set it to show the differences then zero them out and both tunes should be the same .
