    Reset Fuel Trims

    Guys,

Just checking a few things, is anyone having trouble with reset fuel trims control not working on V6's?

    Thanks,

    Chris...

I'll try it tomorrow night - going to do some tuning in prep for Dyno on Saturday.

    Re: Reset Fuel Trims

I've tried it a couple times and didn't notice anything change. It looked like a number flashed in the table view for a second, but then the LTFT's jumped back to where they were.

I am having more problems with getting the PID's to read. It doesn't want to read injector pulsewidth, injector flow rate, afr commanded, or dynamic cylinder air. It would be nice if the scantool translated the MAP signal, too, so we could match it back to the injector flow table (the flow table goes -50 to 100). The graph view goes 0-15 psi, but I get readings around 26 at WOT - do I just subtract 14.7 from this? It would be nice if the graph showed it all. Lastly, the bank 2 stuff doesn't work either, but I think we only have one bank.

Do you have any other 04 GP's running this? Am I the only one seeing these? Thanks for the help. If you need smoe screenshots to illustrate this, I can provide them on some recorded runs, too.

    Thanks Geoff,

I can confirm that Reset Fuel Trims is broken for the V6

I'm also aware of the PIDs that are not working for V6's as well. This will all be fixed in the next release, along with additional ones such as boost related PIDs.

V1.5 will be a big release for V6 owners.

    Re: Reset Fuel Trims

loading a new cal will not reset the trims (unless you have VCM Suite Pro and do an Entire VCM write or VIN/Tunerlock/VATS write), you will have to reset your PCM for now.

we are constantly working to add new stuff to the product

    You already know my situation:

I hit reset ft trims, then the scanner keeps logging but voltage says = 11.0
and LTFTs dont log in the histogram
So, I just restart it.. no big deal

I guess I'm the only v6 that can reset ft trims??? haha
No big deal, just unplug the battery for an hour LOL

OMG! I CANT wait for V1.5!!
    Thanks alot!

I always had problems with resetting the fuel trims on my car. The LTFT's would completely zero out and no matter how far I'd drive, they wouldn't move. If I turned the car off and restarted it, they would be working again.

Tuned an LS1 this past weekend and his work exactly like they're supposed to.

I'll try to do some testing on my gtp after work today to see if im having any similar issues.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

hey I don't mind...i did find that if I do a reset it goes & stays at 0% until i restart my scanner...hopefully they'll figure it out for the next public version for you guys. Always good to have a v6 guy amongst their beta testers

There were no add ons for my application so using .14 is no prob. And it is nice to have a V6 guy where you are. What happens when you go LS1/2/6....???

Wait a sec....if I reset fuel trims, then turn the car off and back on again, this will re-set them, or does the reset not work at all?

been there done that and still have one in my garage

Eventually I'll get some $ so I can do what I want with it

For now my GTP will do though.

So the fuel trim stuff worked with .14? I'll have to check into this a little further I suppose...I havent "tuned" my gtp in a while...just scan/tweak here and there for beta purposes when necessary.
