Seems like all my engine block grounds had poor path to ground. Adding a large gauge wire to my chassis (around the firewall and under the header) seems to have fixed it. Wonder what the root cause is?

Sounds like root cause is a bad ground? You can't get more root cause than that.
Sure, but it's a factory ground. Just wondering what might be causing the poor path to ground if there are 3 factory ground points on the aluminum engine block.Originally Posted by gtstorey
Either the connections are bad/dirty/corroded, wire is corroded/broken or missing a wire.
