    Silverado Lsa 3bar

I am working on a 2000 Silverado with a Lsa blower and red 3bar map. Having issues with it just reading atmospheric with key on. It reads about 75-80kpa. I have tried every which way on the wiring. What?s even weird is in the scanner it does blips like 75 then 0. It never stays constant. Wanting to know if anyone has proper wiring and why the scanner does that. Wire colors are gray, orange/black, and green

Have you confirmed map sensor settings in tune for the part number of the sensor? Not jus by red LSA sensor?

I am going to assume my tuner Pat G has the correct settings. I sent him the file and he said it wasn?t reading right the first time it was 105kpa but it actually had straight line constant. Now after adjusting wire lower kpa but does blips of readings.

312.50 and -11.25 are the settings I believe.

Make sure you are only logging the 3 bar MAP channel too, remove the 1 bar MAP channel.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

He sent me a channel config and is logging all of them. The 3 bar map channel doesn?t even have data.

I know, it’s way too much work to check the part number and confirm map sensor. Much better to assume red is good enough.

It very likely could be fine. But I hate assuming something so easy to check.

If you missed the sticky post at the top of the forum that says 'if you want help post your tune and logs', what else did you miss?

I think two wires were touching or something with the sensor was not acting right with just key on vs truck running. Still not sure if wiring is right if what is in the log file looks ok then I will leave wiring alone

Tune looks pretty good. The things I don't understand are why PatG doesn't have P0103 set to MIL on First Error while tuning SD (Engine Diag>Airflow>MAF Frequency Fail High is set to 0Hz), and why you aren't running a boost-reference regulator.

Also, complex temp model is disabled. Has the IAT been relocated to the manifold post-supercharger? There are TMAP's for that. Very important for consistent OL fueling in SD (PV=nRT), even more so with boost.

#s in post 4 should be correct for that sensor.

There is a bug with 2-3 bar OS's in GEN 3 where the map sensor will not read correctly until the engine starts.

This has been a issue for as long as they've had the custom OS's. To check try killing the engine by barely turning the key back to see what it's reading correctly.

Sorry have been busy. I really appreciate the info here and the confirmation on the OS bug. I am surprised there is not more talk about it, maybe I have just not searched the proper terms. But ya once I turned the engine on it works fine around 85-90 kpa. I have a regulator but not used in boost referenced, I am pretty new to boost so this I can look into and mention to Pat. I can now leave the engine running for longer now that I have resolved some other issues this weekend and get things worked out.
