Do you mean the guage cluster in your car? If so hptuners can not do that. Youd need a taser if you dont have the srt pages

Yes, I want it in the speedometer cluster.
I know AlfaOBD cannot do it, but I do know Green Diesel Engineering can turn it on if I buy their transmission tune. I think they are Diablo based and not HP Tuners? so it would seem that some setting in the transmission is responsible, but like you said maybe not something that HP Tuners can do.
If there is a way, I?d like to find out.

the trans has nothing to do with it
neither does the pcm
you enable it in the bcm and you do so with any interface that will get you into it and let you flip the switch
(holley, alphaobd, etc)
Because I have enabled the setting in the BCM with AlfaOBD and it doesn?t show in the cluster, and the tuners I have talked to that can make it work don?t touch the BCM.
The TCM is already broadcasting the pid
The info is already in the CAN
The pcm knows damn well what gear your truck is in
There is something in the BCM or possibly the it’s in the controller for the cluster, that will or will not display the info on your dash
If you don?t have anything helpful please leave room for others to answer this. I don?t know how else to explain that other tuners have turned it on by changing something in the trans, so that?s what I am trying to do.
Perhaps there is another PID that flags to the cluster that it?s in manual mode and that?s what they turn ?ON? to enable the cluster to intercept and display the information. Or a separate PID specifically for the cluster? hmm

Nothing with the SRT change (also re-enabled the gear indicator setting)
with alpha its all about getting the right combination
