5.3 to 6.2 swap. I need some help. Can't figure this out.

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra, I'm swapping the motor with a 6.2 from a 2007 Escalade. From what I have read this should be a pretty easy swap, I am keeping everything stock, no cam changes or anything. I just need to be able to tune it for the 6.2. from what I have read I can copy over all differences for engine data of the ecm from a 2007 Escalade over to my 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 ecm. Was also looking at transmission data for a Denali with the 6.2 as it probably has different transmission shift points for a truck. Can do the same with the transmission considering they are all equipped with the 6l80. This seems simple in my head but I feel like I'm gonna screw something up. Just need some clarification please and thank you. Apologize in advance if this has been covered many times I just can't seem to find an answer.

The calibration files are very different from 2007 to 2011, I would not copy stuff over from that 2007 file.'

You should find a 6.2 file from a 2011 truck if you want to copy data over.

That 2007 engine should have VVT but no AFM. The L9H engine that the Silverado's got in 2009+ would be the data I'd want to copy over. The transmission settings are way different from 2007 to 2011 as well, so either leave it stock or just custom tune it as you need to.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Ya I was kind of figuring that. I'm not sure if the maf/map is the same between the years so if I use the 2011 L9H file for the L92 it may not run right. I could copy over the transmission data from a 2011 truck with the L9H, I had a quick look at the shift patterns and pressures and stuff and it seems like they are different for the 6.2. I feel like I wouldn't wanna run it on the trans data for the 5.3 but I could be wrong. The L9H doesn't have afm either I don't think, it's just the flex fuel version of that motor.

So I got the engine in and tuned it like you said. I tried the engine data from both files and it runs better on the 2011 Silverado 6.2 file. Thr only thing I'm getting is map sensor circuit high code and I believe it's because the 07 map sensor uses slightly different calibration. The airflow section looks quite a bit different for the Escalade. I'm wondering if I just copy over the map calibration data or should I copy all airflow data.

I think you should use the MAP linear & offset that matches the sensor being used.

Ya that's what I'm thinking. I can just copy over the Linear &, offset or should I copy over all airflow that is different. I guess I will just try it with the Linear & offset and go from there.

Only the linear and offset are specific to the sensor being used.

Okay thank you I will try that. I'm still very new to this. I see so many different numbers and it makes me think it should all be the same. I can't see why they would be so different for basically the same engine

So I'm having some issues still. I copied over the Linear & offset from the 07 Escalade. Still using the stock tune file from a 2011 Chevy Silverado L9H 6.2. Truck seemed to run and drive good. I drove it for about 20 minutes on the highway, traction control light kept coming on and off randomly but drove fine otherwise. I'm not quite sure what the traction control issue was. I used the tcm file from the silverado as well so maybe something to do with that. Also used the tire calibration wizard or whatever to compensate for my 4.56 gears and 37 inch tires. On the way home I got an engine light and it started running rough, felt like it was gonna stall. I was able to get it home and read the codes. Im getting the following codes. P0108 map/baro pres circ hi input, p0158 oxy sens circ high volts bank 2 sensor 2, p0171 sys too lean bank 1, p0174 sys too lean bank 2, p606 PCM processor fault. I also tried to copy over all airflow data from the 07 Escalade and it was running worse, I read another guy saying the p606 could be related to not using my stock ETC files so I tried copying that stuff over as well and nothing I tried seemed to make any difference really. Any help would be appreciated.

Heres my most recent attempt. I went back to my stock file, copied over all engine differences from 2011 chevy silverado 6.2 with L9H, then copied over the Linear and offset from the 2007 Escalade and it runs good but hesitates/sputters on light accel. Still getting p0108 map circuit high.
