'19 3.6L what kind of stock timing? What do like w/ 9psi behind them?

This base tune from Ripp only has 8 degrees or so in it at 3500-4500 but knock sensors still spiking off - seems super low. On a direct injection car Id say its TOO low of timing and too rich but dont want to throw timing at it to find out these dont need much lead at all.

Gets to 13-14 dgrees up at the very top. Mid 11s thru most of the curve now but still getting fuel out of it form 3500-4500 its in hgih 10s

What fuel are you running? With my daughter's 2023 Challenger GT (3.6 Pentastar), there is a lot of KR from the factory. She runs 89 octane though.

Here is what hers looked like when I took a log. It had less than 10k miles on the OD when I took this log.

HaasEXP has a lot of experience with boosted 3.6's .... I think his personal vehicle is a boosted Jeep actually?

Here's the stock tune file: 2023_Chally_GT_OEM_Backup.hpt

And here's the full log: OEM_Chally_GT-3.hpl

This is completely stock, with a still locked PCM. I just pulled the tune and a log to check it out. I've no plans to mod it or anything. But it has tons of KR everywhere.

Yeah, that's what I figure. I have it on my list to fill it up with 93 and take a new log to see the difference ... just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Can you run that much timing on boost? I wouldn't think so, but I don't know anything about modding the 3.6. I know with my 5.7, Anything over 10 or 11 degrees in the upper RPM under boost causes a lot of noise on the knock sensors. But I haven't tried to dial in the optimal spark timing on mine just yet either.

In the tailpipe. Where it belongs. Not sure why you said that i stated what the air/fuel was. If you have help to give - weigh in on what timing would be "normal" for a stock 3.6 with procharger and 8-9psi peak boost. This doesnt like 8 degrees, but I found out they have some 87 octane in the damn thing

Oh man, that?ll do it! They procharged their V6 and cheaped out at the pump? lol.

I?ve had good luck using Lucas Octane Booster to address KR when the wife got a bad tank of 93. It might help them if it?s a full tank of 87 they need to burn through?

The daughter's fuel light was on this afternoon, so I took it up to Shell and filled it with 93. Here's the log on the drive back to the house.

Much better with a lot less PT KR, still some WOT KR ... but not nearly as much as it had with the 89.
