Question about reading a tune then writing back

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 6.7 cummins, all emissions on. Currently running an Edge tune.

I just replaced the intake with a Banks Monster ram, and relocated the Grid heater to the air horn. I am now running into a P2609 code because the new grid heater is only pulling 60 amps as apposed to the 150-200 amps the stock grid heater pulls. I have a MPVI3 that I used for the transmission tune, and I found the code in the .hpt to turn that code off, but I have been told that pulling a file that has a tune on it, you should not write it back since there may be PIDs that are not seen and it would not be clean. I thought I would ask here, since the source that told me that is not an expert. The file I pulled with the tune seems to be readable, and I see where they made the changes to the timing fueling and such. Just dont want to mess up my truck. I am using the 60HP tune.

If this does not work, I will try to build my own tune, just a learning curve to get started .

Any advise from the community would be much appreciated.

Just keep in mind, you are emissions intact, wrong tuning can clog your DPF fast, upset balances for airflow for EGR control, etc
