So just because a converter is marketed as a 3400-3600, it all depends on engine torque, vehicle weight, gear ratio, and tire size.
So with the supercharger it prolly did stall at 3400-3600 but now your making a substantial less amount of torque so thats why your seeing a stall speed of only 2400-2500.
You could contact Circle D and give them the specs of the truck and what you want the converter to do and they can make it stall at 3600 no problem. It will be a different diameter and have a different stator setup.
I get guys all the time wanting to buy a generic "3500 Stall" and then disappointment sets in when they realize it will only stall to 2000 rpms. When they could have spent a little more money and got a much better quality converter that stalls to what its suppose to.
My first converter was a used "3200", i didnt know any better back then. I put it in my turbo truck and it would brake stall to 5800 with just 6psi boost..
