in the under and over speed idle adaptives i set those like that thinking i could help the idle, i have 102mm throttle body on this thing i think its more trouble then its worth. i did to many mods to my build when i built this truck 6 years ago, i should have just swapped the good v6 4.3 motor i had in to this truck cause thats what it had was 4,3. but my friend at the time before he passed away he was a big hot rodder back in a day, he was a heck of a mechanic, we built alot old school chevy motors. these ls are a totally diffrent type of motors. im learning tho. hard head that i am. i thank you guys for helping me.

i think ones i get the heads on it and the new injectors and i want to super charge this thing, and a dyno tune bye blevins tuning. i think this truck could get up to upper 500 to 600 hp. she runs close to about 300 hp now. jus dont want to hurt the rings. alot money in this thing. i know everyone in here spent some dollars.

It would be most beneficial to get a better throttle body. Those chinese ones will drive you crazy just to get a half decent idle.
102mm is way overkill for a 5.3 anyway.

Understanding how the PCM works helps.
Just cause you have HI/LOW spark tables the same doesnt matter.

And he also needs to always remember that there are only a small portions of the tables available through HPT and there can always be modifiers that can't be seen.

You need to set these to "MIL On First Error" as i stated before or else you cannot guarantee you are actually in speed density mode.

Imagine that was a customers vehicle and you have all that labor time added up.
Then another customer brings the same setup to you and you now know how crappy those parts combinations are.
Would you tell them to just buy good stuff or would you waste your time trying to make it work knowing how big of a pain in the butt it is.

im old 1967 born stared driving in the mid 80s had few camaros, built the engines in all of them, these ls motors are a different breed of motor. but i love how they sound. im still going go with my new injectors and heads and my be new bigger headers. id love to super charge it. i thing the tranny would hold up. now the rear end that would be the old g80. so no i dont think it would. heads injectors headers dyno tune. the truck is fun to drive she loves going 80 and 90 mph. just hope now the knock is behind me.

    Your not that old....
    What type of supercharger?
The rear end is strong enough if you put a Eaton TrueTrac diff in it.
Transmission will be a shot in the dark on if it will hold up.

its been doing great so far.. 4l80e. with a 3600 ptc billet stall. trans temps run around 170* my engine runs 180* on hwy speeds and the fast dont come on unless the ac is on or i drive in the street. just hope i have the knock issue over. no matter what im gonna change the heads , and the injectors and do a dyno tune. so it will be fixed just might not be by me. id like the look of the lsa,s the caddy types. but anyone would be great loung as its undered 4000 bucks

Ah. I thought i saw 4l60 in your Sig.
The issue with the LSA blower is you have to run the adapter plates for cathedral heads and that causes issue.

    Thought about turbo?

IF you have the tune setup correctly you dont have to go into special functions. Only reason to do that is to clear fuel trims.

ok thanks, should i add like 10% to the ve or just run it as it is in speed density. with long and short trims off, maf is off (error on first) and set to (1) , dynmaic set to 10.000 dfco is off. the normal things . i just want to know should i bump up the % of the ve ?

Just drive it and see.. I dont know how your VE is setup currently so cant tell you what to adjust. Just drive it easy and see what it does. Dont go out and do a 30 second WOT pull.
