Mpvi3 and wideband gauge help please

New to tuning, but watching every video I can find.
I have an 85 fiero with a 3800sc from a 2002 grand Prix GTP. ECU from the same GTP.
I am looking to purchase a wideband for obvious reasons. I have the MPVi3 and am wondering how to hookup the wideband so the MPVi3 will read it properly. I am not familiar with CAN bus and serial, so this is where I'm looking for help. Do I need to use the prolink cable, or can I wire through the obd port and use the AEM gauge that uses the obd2 plug? If not, what is the best way to hookup the gauge for monitoring with the MPVi3? Thanks in advance!

Either use the pro link and wire the wide band output thru it and use the "transform" feature abd interpolation that signal as AFR

Or, do like i have done on those v6s (if applicable) wire the wide band's 0-5v output in the EGR harness' 0-5v input wire, and then just create a custom channel that outputs the signal as AFR

    The AEM 30-4110 works great

I like the idea of wiring into the EGR harness, but not entirely certain which that harness is. Would you have a picture, or link to one? Thanks.

Would this be pin 6 and 14 on the obd plug?

For the EGR wiring? No. You will have to find the wiring diagram for you vehicle.

If I have the canbus pins free on my OBD plug, could I not wire into the OBD plug from the analog side of the gauge? Or does it have to go into the ecu? I am not understanding why I would need to wire into the EGR. Sorry, fairly new at the electronics side and trying to learn.
