Timing stuck on Low Octane table?

OK. some of you HP Tuner gurus correct me if I'm wrong. It seems as though when I messed with my MAF frequency table and have knock learn disabled, that my timing looks too only come off the low octane table. I've really noticed it lately because I've installed an 85mm MAF and my WOT timing was below 20. Once I renabled knock learn, and took 4 degrees off my high octane and pasted to low, my timing came back up. So, I guess my question is, if a new MAF is installed, or table is modified, does the computer start timing off from the low table, and slowly go back to high, and if knock learn is disabled, it gets stuck on low table?

if you disable KL it will max to the LO table. log the knock learn factor PID to see.
